Welcome to George T. Files American Legion Post 20

Since our charter, Brunswick American Legion Post 20 has been welcoming Veterans from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country, their families, and members of the community who wish to join us in honoring the four pillars of the american legion; Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children and Youth. Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in our preamble below.

"To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America;

"To maintain law and order;

"To foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism;

"To preserve the memories and incidents of our association in the Great Wars;

"To inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state, and nation;

"To combat the autocracy of both the classes and the masses;

"To make right the master of might;

"To promote peace and good will on earth;

"To safeguard and transmit to posterity the principles of justice, freedom, and democracy;

"To consecrate and sanctify our comradship by our devotion to mutual helpfulness."

George T. Files hours of operation are by appointment except for every Wednesday 7:30 am to 11:30am.
