JUNIOR SHOOTING
The American Legion Junior Shooting Sports Program is a gun safety education and marksmanship program that encompasses the basic elements of safety, education, enjoyment and competition. As a result of the American Legion Junior Shooting Program, there have been three gold medal winners at the Olympic level of competition. The Brunswick Post is presently working with young persons (Ages 8 to 18). These athletes are preparing for their exposure to competition (both local and national). The Program instructs athletes in the safe handling and operation of firearms through the use of pellet rifles. Our program schedule runs mid - September through mid - July, 6pm Thursday nights on the second and forth week of each month. There is no charge for the atheletes participating in Jr. Shooting, however, donations are happily accepted.
